Carthusian corners at the foot of Montsant

Description & booking

A simple excursion around the Charterhouse of Scala Dei that will take us to the Pregona fountain, a quiet place at the foot of the Montsant Mass Corner, where it is said that thanks to the good acoustics of the Holy Mountain you can hear the bells of the Monastery.

We’ll visit the Carthusian monastery and learn about the history of the monks and their vital importance in the configuration of the current wine-growing Priorat, which today is experiencing a new resurgence.

We’ll end the day with a visit to one of the wineries in the village of Scaladei and a tasting of its wines.
